GUESS WHO'S BACK!!

SURPRISE…. guess who’s back to pick up where he left off over a YEAR AGO! I know that many of you will not believe that I will be back on a regular blogging basis, saying things like “sure”, “whatever you say”, or “I’ll believe it when I see it”. So I got a little sidetracked but things are much better now and I have quite a lot to talk about.

Just as a quick recent teaser, I went to the Constantine (from American Idol and Bold and the Beautiful) album release party at the club “Stereo” here in the city, met Lance Bass (from Nsync), had a wild and semi frightening dance off with Robert Bogue (A.C. Mallet), and had an opportunity to work with a really great semi-new character “Roc Hoover” (Mark Schlereth).

Mark is a former NFL player who had the fortune of playing for the Denver Broncos as well as the Washington Redskins (which is way more important as I am a Skins fan). As far as more details, that’s going to have to wait just a tad longer…BUT NOT MUCH!

I hope that all of you who once enjoyed reading my regular entries find your way back here and pick up where we both left off. Please keep your comments coming as well as the funny stories too. I try and incorporate comments from everyone in my entries so perhaps yours might just be the next one I choose. I hope everyone is in good spirits and as always I wish you the best.

Until next time, have a good one ya’ll!

What at tease- Lance, Constantine...sounds like a very interesting night. I can't wait to hear more about this "dance off". I had a few of those in college, but it was typically after way too many drinks and too many “friends” saying just do it. I think that the best word to describe it is scary. I cannot wait for Football to start, I’m a Patriot’s fan and I am going to a pre-season game Friday night Patriots vs. Carolina. I am sure to be the only southern girl there with Patriot colors on, so you may see me on the news being attacked by Panther’s fans. Ha!

John,

So glad to "see" you back. Really hope that this does become a regular thing. Have to know, though, what happened to the hair? The buzzcut was awesome... will it return?

Driscoll's back to blog on a regular basis!?! My first response was "HAHAHAHAAA!! Yeah right!!" and then I said those other responses! =) I'm so sweet, lol.

Sounds like you had a good time at "Stero"... would've paid to see your wild & crazy dance off with Bogue. That dude is funny! He tried to yell at me to do karoake,... but I wasn't drunk enough to do that, LOL! Maybe some other time,.. cuz singing badly & loudly is my light. haha!

You're a skins fan!? I could make so many jokes out of that,.. but i'll behave and just say "Blah!" lol. Seeing that I am from Mass (The New England area!) I gotta root for my Patriots!!! And i'm also a Giants fan,.. it's my dad's fault. =) WOOHOO!! The only not so fun thing,... got stuck in some pre-season game traffic,... and I wasn't even going to the game!! Blah.

Ok,.. so my response is a typical semi-long one. Not so unusual for me, lol. But anyways, good to see ya posting. We'll see how long this lasts, lol. And if you start slackin, you'll know who will be on your behind about it in like 6 weeks,.. not me! My very hyper hip-attachment!!

You ready for that crazy fun fan filled weekend!? It might be an awesome time,.. especially if I complete my task of gettin Candice drunk and convince her to get a tattoo! HAHAAA!!

Ok, shutting up now!
Take care!

Okay, I don't know if I'm comfortable enough yet in my Guiding Light habit (definitely not comfortable enough to refer to it as an addiction...or addition as I first mistyped, though it has been an addition to my DVR lineup) to admit that I occasionally check http://pgpclassicsoaps.blogspot.com/ for GL spoilers...but last night I did...and I'm glad I did.

I've watched GL off and on since I was about eight (which, I know, is pretty young to be watching soaps, but my older sister was a fan, so there you go), and the last time I watched regularly (probably about nine years ago)...I don't think Coop was even born yet. ;) Anyway, said sister got me rehooked back in January (though she's recently stopped watching and switched to Y & R instead...though please don't hold me accountable for that rascally behavior)...

Oh, my gosh, I've babbled myself into losing my point completely.

Oh, yes. I stumbled upon your blog long after you'd stopped updating and assumed that was that...but it was a nice surprise to see pgpclassicsoaps blog that you're back!

And, yes, sadly, I'm always this wordy.

Me again.

I was so quick to comment that I completely missed the part of the blog where you said you like to incorporate the comments into entries.

I shall really try to be more eloquent and less crazy girl who just learned to talk in the future. See? I'm already using fancy pants words like "shall". ;)

First, I love your storyline right now! :) I also like that they always have you as the good person! There has to be at least ONE on ever soap!

I'm glad you've started blogging again, even though I think you'll need to post more than one blog to convince us that.

While I'm not much of a pro-football fan, when I am, my team is the Patriots. I'm really in to college football. I'm an Ohio State fan all the way. GO BUCKS! ;)

Anyways, the point of this, was that I just stumbled upon your blog. I'm very much a GL fan, and I just wanted to wish you the best of luck!

PS - That's suppose to be "every soap" in the first paragraph. Forgot to add the "y" and didn't want people to think I was an idiot!

So I had posted this long lovely comment on August 21st not to have it show up. So... long story short. Bummed that I won't be able to make it to NYC for the Gathering, but I'm saving money for Marco Island again next year. So glad you decided to blog again since we lost you on myspace. Take care and try to plan some sort of appearance in Texas!!! I am loving the Coop/Ashlee storyline and really enjoyed the episode where she told Coop to come back when it was easier... amazing scenes by both of you. Looking forward to catching up on GL! Oh, and ask Jordan where your letter is, because I sent one to you with my letter to him with some pictures from Marco! :)

Hi John. I've been reading your blog since you started it, but never left you a comment. I really enjoy you on GL and I'm glad you're back posting. I agree with Rachel about the buzzcut being awesome. I always thought you were hot, but when I first saw you on screen with the new cut, I wanted to jump through screen! And to quote one of my favorite movies, Anchorman, I thought "I wanna be on you"! HAHA. You looked so yummy. And still do of course. (...now I'm blushing...)

Hello John! Wow that sounds so personal. Anyways, I just got back into guiding light from a long break due to the whole Reva cancer thing and the storyline that has finally caused me to come back is the one you are in with CVZ. I think she is a lovely addition to the cast and the way you work with her is amazing. There is a whole new side to your character that I am definitely enjoying to see and hope it continues to develop. It's pretty cool you hang out with the cast members and are so tight with them. I am jealous about the whole Constantine thing. He was the guy I rooted for that season of American idol. I'm so glad football has started back up again, but gotta say my favorite team is the Bears. Its one of those things where you are raised to watch a certain team and if you go against the family they will like disown you. Just kidding there. Anyway keep up the great work and I will look forward to checking out your blog in the future. Take care now!

Hello, didn't know where else to ask this and since it's your blog maybe you can help lol. On a lot of GL message boards there is some complaining about Ashlee saying Coop Cooper because his name is Henry Bradshaw lol. I just thought if Coop said something about why he doesn't mind being called Coop Cooper maybe people would shut up about it. Thanks for reading.

Ummm, I actually didn't know you were "back". Sorry bout that, lol. I did find out, however, because I asked if there were anything recently written by you so that should get me brownie points *smiles*.

I read your post about the e-mail that you received from your college friend's girlfriend and I was touched. That may seem too personal to say because I don't know you personally, but there are qualities that are always touching and they were there in your words. You came across as humble and kind and compassionate. And you were well written which is sometimes hard to find, lol Anyway, I'm glad you're back and hope it's not a year again *smiles*

Well, I survived the Patriot-Panther game with only a few death threats from the Panther fans so that was a good thing. Tom Brady played the first half of the game, so I was a very happy girl.

On a more interesting topic (John)-
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am starting to think JD is just teasing us. He gave us a little teaser and now nothing what the…….......…..? Come on John don't leave us hanging like that!

In addition, can anyone please explain to me why in a "town" like Springfield practically everyone lives in a Hotel just curious? :-)

By the way,I loved the little Bradshaw-Cooper group hug during an episode earlier this week very sweet AWWWWWW

Ya'll have a good one

Hi John!
A dance off..hm sounds like alcohol might have been involved? Maybe? haha!
But I think it's really cool that you get to work with a former football player. Especially since it was someone who played for your favorite team. I am not much of a pro football fan, although I do like the Bengals and the Falcons (Darn you Vick!). I am more of a college football kinda girl though. Do you like any college teams?

I must first say that I love you on GL. I tune in everyday to see if you have any scenes in the show. I watch all of your and CVZ's scenes first and then I restart the show and watch the entire show. lol. I was lucky enough to have met and talked to CVZ. She is an awesome person. Now only other actor I would like to meet is you! Hopefully I will get that chance. I love your storyline with CVZ. Keep up the great work!
